Despite Marvel's Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. suffering its fifth consecutive ratings slump in the States, the comic book company is soldiering on with its campaign to bring its IP to life.
Marvel has struck a deal with Netflix to develop four serials about solo, street level heroes culminating in a team-up mini-series.
Led by a show focused on Daredevil in 2015, followed by Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Luke Cage, the epic will unfold over multiple years of original programming, taking Netflix members deep into the gritty world of heroes and villains of Hell’s Kitchen, New York.
Netflix has committed to a minimum of four, thirteen-episode- series culminating in The Defenders mini-series event that reimagines a dream team of self-sacrificing, heroic characters.
Looks like I'll be resubscribing to Netflix then. I'm very excited about seeing Iron Fist and Daredevil come alive and I'm totally sold on the idea of the four show's leading to a Defenders mini-series. This really is a comic geek's dream come true.
