|Ra's Al Ghul And The League Of Shadows|
For the longest time Rachel has been telling me I have 'too much stuff' in the gamesroom.
Naturally, I took this to mean she wanted me to buy more things and find a new focus for my wargaming habit.
Of late there have been rumblings around certain dark corners of the Internet about Batman: The Miniatures Game and the beautifully detailed - but expensive - 35mm miniatures from Knight Models that accompany it.
A piece on Steve Blease's Bleaseworld led me to Ian 'Hendybadger' Henderson's Tales Of A Tabletop Skirmisher and I was hooked.
My rationale is that I plan to streamline my miniatures collection down to fantasy figures that I use with our Heroes & Other Worlds RPG campaign, as I can see that has the potential to run and run if I don't screw things up, and a small collection of Knight Models' superheroes.
But the cunning part - that I hope will placate Rachel and (eventually) see more space opening up in the gamesroom - is that I aim to finance all these new purchases by selling off various bits and bobs (including unused miniatures that really aren't going to see any action now) via eBay.
Being me, of course, I didn't have the patience to wait and get the money in first, so I've already purchased (as you can see above) a painted squad of assassins led by Ra's Al Ghul, and have ordered a couple of other miniatures (Arrow and Heath Ledger's Joker) as well as the rules book.
Now I just need to flog some books and games to pay for these!
