In July, DC Comics and IDW are teaming-up to bring us the crossover everyone was asking for (?) - nuTrek and Green Lantern Corps in a six-part tale called The Spectrum War.
Let's hope that rather disappointing artwork above (from Gabriel Rodriguez, whose work on Little Nemo: Return To Slumberland was flawless) isn't an indication of the book's look, and that it reads better than the recent, dire Star Trek/Planet Of The Apes mash-up.
The press release for The Spectrum War explains that the:
"U.S.S Enterprise crew members meet Hal Jordan and the entire Green Lantern Corps Green in an adventure that spans space, time and all the colors of the spectrum. Set in Star Trek's 23rd Century, the balance of the universe will be tested when the Green Lantern Corps' Power Rings come into the possession of certain Star Trek characters while a dark and powerful evil looms around every corner. Only the combined power of the Green Lantern Corp and the Federation stand any chance of stopping those who worship evil's might."On the opposite end of the "spectrum", we have a stylish, minimalist variant cover from Francesco Francavilla:
