Your financial support is being sought to help fund a documentary celebrating the Hammer Horror movies produced in partnership with Warner Bros. from 1968 (Dracula Has Risen From the Grave) through to 1974 (The Legend of the 7 Golden Vampires).
The Kickstarter campaign for Hammer Horror: The Warner Bros Years runs until November 18 and is looking to raise $22,000, to fund the 90-minute documentary, author the blu-rays etc.
As well as digital streaming and blu-rays of the documentary, backer rewards include a variety of limited edition, high-quality, art posters, which can be seen on the campaign site.
The documentary is being made by Diabolique Films, the film production arm of Diabolique Magazine. It will be produced, written and directed by Marcus Hearn, Hammer Films’ official historian, in association with Jonathan Rigby and other film historians and authors.
According to the fundraising website:
The documentary will feature exclusive interviews with many of the key players from that period, as well as authors and film historians like Jonathan Rigby and Constantine Nasr. Also included will be rare production stills, film footage, Hammer’s original shooting locations, and access to previously unseen archive documents. The documentary will be available via streaming and in a limited run region-free blu-ray release, exclusive to this fundraiser.Recently confirmed to take part in the documentary is the beautiful Veronica Carlson (featured on HeroPress earlier today!) from Frankenstein Must Be Destroyed, The Horror Of Frankenstein, and Dracula Has Risen From The Grave.
