The Creeps (1997): Mad scientist brings Dracula, the Wolfman, the Mummy, and Frankenstein's Monster to life... but there's a problem and they end up three feet tall.Birthday "month" is in full swing. Paul dropped in during the week for an evening of takeaway curry, chat, films and gifts.
Hideous! (1997):A group of rival collectors of severely deformed freakish human beings and the FBI agents that are investigating them must battle against some of their collections which aren't as dead as they seem...
As ever, he managed to surprise me with an amazing selection of gifts that no one else would dream of getting me.
There was a trio of 'Grindhouse' DVDs: The Creeps, Hideous!, and Creepozoids, along with a Brit haunted house flick I hadn't heard of: Blackwood, which looks good from the box and features a classy cast.
His main gift, though, combined two of my great passions: pizza and Star Trek... he got me the shiny Think Geek USS Enterprise pizza cutter.
Creepozoids (1987): A group of survivors try to avoid the battles of World War III, when they try to escape to the quiet lands, they encounter something much more deadly. We'd hoped to squeeze in two films before Paul had to catch his train back to North London, but because we nattered so much we ended up only watching one, the director's cut of Nightbreed (that he'd got me last Christmas and I'd been saving so we could watch it on one of our film nights).
Blackwood (2014): The classic English ghost story gets a revision when a college professor finds himself plagued by spectral visions.
