We've learned this week that Legends Of Tomorrow is to launch on Thursday, March 3, here in the UK, the same day that Sky debuts its new official DC superheroes' fan show.
DC Fancast - celebrating the Sky shows Flash, Arrow, Legends Of Tomorrow, and Supergirl - will be available exclusively On Demand and fronted by Rick Edwards, Bec Hill and Des Taylor.
Leading the way will be a dynamic duo of presenters. Rick Edwards will be holding the lively debate together with his love for action-packed entertainment and pop culture. Joining him, and representing the community of fans joining in via social media, will be Australian stand-up comedian, cosplayer and self-confessed super-geek Bec Hill. The series will consist of two 12-minute episodes available for download every Thursday for 16 weeks.
Rick and Bec will also be joined by graphic artist Des Taylor, who will be acting as the resident comic book expert and our man on the ground. A super fan himself, Des will reporting all the action at the latest comic cons and conducting a series of mini-workshops on how to draw your own superhero strip.
According to the Warner Bros press release:
DC Fancast’s addition to Sky’s superhero content will be a perfect complement to some of Sky 1’s best performing shows. The Flash is poised to resume its second season on March 1 and Arrow is back with more from its fourth year on March 2.
Supergirl premiered in 2015 to a consolidated audience of 1.64 million, making it one of Sky 1’s biggest ever launches for a new series.
This follows in the footsteps of Arrow, which attracted some of its biggest audiences since 2013 when season four was aired last year, and The Flash, which is one of Sky 1’s top performing shows ever.
DC Fancast will be timed to coincide with the launch of the brand new addition to this highly successful universe, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, as well as the highly anticipated return of Arrow and The Flash to our screens early March.
Which all sounds very positive, but it's looking like we might have to wait until April 1 for the return of Supergirl.
