The Ghostbusters: A Web Series is a fan serial - set 30 years after the original Ghostbusters' movies - which is currently being shot in Atlanta, Georgia, and is seeking crowdfunding support on IndieGoGo.
It's one of those slightly annoying "we keep the money whether we reach our target or not" campaigns that IndieGoGo is known for, but the filmmakers behind the campaign aren't asking for a hefty buy-in and keep followers up-to-date with their progress via regular picture posts on Facebook.
They are looking to raise $10,000 by the end of March, to cover the cost of props, special effects, post-production etc
Check out the show's fundraising page for the background to the series, the investor incentives on offer, and detailed breakdowns of what your donations will be spent on to bring the planned nine - 10 to 15-minute - episodes of the series to life.
The story follows Erwin Schueler (Joseph Lavender), a young psychology major down on his luck. But there's more to Erwin than just a silly name. A strange paranormal disturbance has arisen and it will be up to Erwin and friends to stop it!
