With the low, low buy-in price of $5, a massive, old school, "blue map" dungeon can be yours thanks to the latest Kickstarter from Venger Satanis.
Over on his blog, Venger explains his thinking behind this project:
"I want to create a huge, old school 'blue' map like all those late '70s and early '80s modules I ran or played as a kid. Big enough to dominate my gaming table, where all the players (and myself) can quickly and easily understand where the party is and what's going on."His aim for The S'rulyan Vault is to produce a five to seven-page PDF of a 34" by 44" dungeon, that he has designed with with Glynn Seal (from MonkeyBlood Design).
On the campaign's Kickstarter page, he adds that:
"This document will contain a brief history of the dungeon, as well as, various random tables for helping the GM spontaneously come up with content, description, rumors, factions, and encounters (including traps, monsters, NPCs, weird stuff, etc.) so that each adventure into the S'rulyan Vault can be unique."For more information on The S'rulyan Vault, which currently only has the single investment level of $5 for all the files for the dungeon to be sent to you via Dropbox, visit the Kickstarter page. There you will discover details of Venger's plans for stretch goals, once the fundraiser busts through its target of $500.
The campaign runs until May 15, which also happens to be the day that my Six Of The Best interview with Venger goes live here on HeroPress... so two reasons to mark that date on your calendar!
