|"I Wear No Mask!"|
Wheels are in motion and plots are coming crashing to a head in our Heroes & Other Worlds campaign, with the Tuesday Knights' player-characters caught square in the middle.
We're entering the final act of this campaign arc (and possible the campaign as a whole) as, in the last year (of gaming), the party has accidentally released both a tarrasque and The Yellow King on the land of Elyntia.
The larval stage of the tarrasque burst out of my GMPC, Peter Entwhistle (former village mage), Alien-style, while Clare's long-suffering apprentice wizard, Marigold Weaver, gave "birth" to The Yellow King in a particularly gruesome sequence during our last games' night (while the party was besieged by hordes of goblins loyal to The Yellow King).
It's all family-friendly fun at our table!
The tarrasque hasn't reared its terrifying head again (yet) but The Yellow King appears to be creating his own kingdom of madness on the world of Cidri, reshaping the land behind our heroes as they race back to their home village of Bendwyn to regroup.
The next scenario I have lined up for the group tonight is another of Tim Shorts' brilliantly useful micro-adventures (make sure you support his Patreon - you never know when you'll need a small scenario to slip into your campaign as a side-quest, bridging-tale, or as a full-blown adventure), but slightly rejigged to fit in with the flow of our campaign.
Tim's adventures have been the core framework that I've built our campaign upon, picking and choosing from his ever-increasing portfolio of work, depending on the player-characters in-adventure choices and actions.
