|Supergirl is joining The Flash (et al) over on The CW...|
First the good news: Supergirl has been renewed for a second season, although it is moving from CBS to the CW, joining fellow superhero shows The Flash, Arrow, and Legends Of Tomorrow.
I'm very pleased about this because I love Supergirl. Like The Flash, it's respectful of its source material, but remains light and positive, even when tackling darker plotlines.
The CW has also picked up the live-action Archie Andrews series: Riverdale, which I'm intrigued by.
Looking forward to seeing how the "bold, subversive take on Archie, Betty, Veronica, and their friends, exploring small-town life and the darkness and weirdness bubbling beneath Riverdale’s wholesome facade" manifests itself for fans and newbies alike.
Sad news, though, is that while ABC has already renewed Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. for a fourth season, Peggy Carter's period adventures in Agent Carter have been brought to an abrupt halt after season two.
The other proposed Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. spin-off, Most Wanted (focusing on former agents Bobbi Morse and Lance Hunter), has also been knocked on the head.
As a fan of both Morse and Hunter, let's hope this leaves the door open to weaving the planned storylines for the pair of disavowed agents back into a future season Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.?
