Our Little World was a bit of an infodump episode; not only did we have Castiel beating the truth about The Darkness out of Metatron (not that he didn't deserve a good thump) but we also found out that Crowley's "castle in hell" - which we have visited many times in recent seasons - actually has a very Earthly location (still in America, of course).
Sam and Dean are trying to trace Amara via her soulless victims, but instead discover that Crowley is using his demons to "clean up" after her.
Amara (Yasmeene Lily-Elle Ball), now a teenager, is proving to be a quite a handful for Crowley to control as her powers are growing exponentially and she is rebelling against his "fatherly" restrictions.
Elsewhere, Castiel gets a lead on Metatron, shakes off his agoraphobia, and tracks down the former Scribe Of God, who now - sans Grace - is scraping a living as a sleazy videographer.
The connection between Amara and Dean was touched upon in Our Little World, but the highlight of the episode came right at the end when Sam was gripped by another of his Hellraiser-esque visions, focusing on a certain cage and its legendary occupant.
Amara's relationship to the Big G was also an interesting revelation and I'm looking forward to this being expanded and explained in more detail, especially her role in the Creation of the universe.
Although plenty happened in this episode, it was obvious that the action was secondary to the backstory that needed to be filled in.
