It's only been running for a week, but the Kickstarter to fund the publication of Villains & Vigilantes 3.0: The Mighty Protectors has already hit its funding target and blown through two stretch goals.
The most recent of which (at $21,000) secured everyone who pledged at least $30 a free PDF copy of the 62-page Market Forces adventure, with the print version being unlocked as a $16 add-on.
This stretch goal also means everyone who pledged at least $15 also receives a PDF set of Mighty Protectors character sheets for all eight characters from the V&V adventure Intercrime: Hostile Takeover.
And, as it steadily cruises towards its next stretch goal (at $24,000), the crowdfunding campaign still has three weeks to run.
Kickstarter analytics site, Kicktraq, calculates the campaign is currently trending towards a final sum of over $86,000; although this projection has steadily declined over the week as the number of daily new investors has also gone down (understandably after the initial fanfare and surge of hardcore fans).
Of course, Kickstarters often go through the doldrums in the middle of their campaigns and then see a bump in the final days as people rush to get in under the wire.
V&V 3.0: The Mighty Protectors is averaging 61 backers and $2,792 total pledges a day ($46 each).
