|Rachel, Alice, and I picnicking with some of Rachel's oldest friends (and their children)|
Last week was - by my sedentary standards - a busy one.
It was, of course, Rachel's birthday (on Monday) and so she took the week off so we could do some fun stuff.
This included a picnic at Chartwell, the former home of Sir Winston Churchill, with Rachel's parents on her actual birthday; a trip to the cinema for me (to see Suicide Squad); picking up my trendy new spectacles; going to a music festival in Tonbridge; hiking around part of Bewl Water Reservoir; and rounding the week off with our annual picnic (pictured above) with Rachel's oldest friends.
There was plenty of resting between events, as well as a lot of Olympics-watching, but by last night both Alice and I were struggling to keep our eyes open.
It was a magnificent week, with a great variety outings, but now I'm looking forward to a more low-key week to recover.
And maybe I'll slowly get back to a more packed programme of posts here on HeroPress.
But I'm really exhausted after all that fun...
