For the longest time, my "whiteboard of fate" in the gamesroom has had the names of the only two Kickstarters that I have to back this year. The first, unsurprisingly, being Villains & Vigilantes 3.0: Mighty Protectors (which is going great guns), but the other was Leagues Of Cthulhu.
Triple Ace Games revealed this week that the Kickstarter to fund the publication of Leagues Of Cthulhu, their latest supplement for the Ubiquity engine (making the game compatible with Leagues Of Adventure, Leagues Of Gothic Horror, Hollow Earth Expedition, Quantum Black etc etc) will launch on October 17.
TAG's Paul 'Wiggy' Wade-Williams said on Facebook: "Those who keep up with the mad cackling emanating from TAG Tower will likely have heard the name Leagues of Cthulhu whispered on the wind late last year. Our plan was to have launched it earlier this year, but the stunning success of the three Leagues of Gothic Horror Kickstarter campaigns forced a slight delay."
Triple Ace Games has a flawless record for delivering on Kickstarters, the Ubiquity system is elegant, and I do love me some Cthulhu, so that's a trifecta of positivity to ensure I hop on board the crazy train for one last ride.
After Leagues Of Cthulhu, I'm planning to limit my Kickstartering to funky dice campaigns (and any subsequent Villains & Vigilantes campaigns that come down the pipe, of course).
