|Lyonesse - the home of Steve's character, Sea Lord|
Although the Tuesday Knights are well and truly embedded in Pete's revived Top Secret SI campaign, that hasn't stopped me fiddling about with my Knight City superhero setting.
Having mentally locked up at the prospect of running the game, using the new Third Edition Villains & Vigilantes rule system, before I felt I was ready, Pete's stepping up to run his espionage game again has lifted a weight off my shoulders and reignited my imagination.
Wary that I might go all "Game Of Thrones" again and overload the players with background details for my setting, I've only published a trio of articles recently and stressed that these should be 'bookmarked for later consumption'.
I certainly don't want to appear to be trying to draw the focus away from Pete's game, having been so pleased when he stepped in to run a game for the Tuesday Knights after I started flailing about once our three-year Heroes & Other Worlds epic had wrapped.
To date, I have written a couple of introductions to other (new) countries and another chapter in the "alien saga", the behind-the-scenes machinations of the alien races whose interference in the development of Earth led to the creation of superpowered individuals.
The new lands introduced are:
- Lyonesse - the underwater kingdom that is home to the superhero Sea Lord (this was largely written by Pete's brother Steve, who created Sea Lord, with some tinkering from me)
- Rhudjistan - the repressive Asian homeland of the supervillain Dr Bionics.
The secret history article is Above Top Secret: What The Aliens Aren't Telling and deals with the aliens role in the death of the dinosaurs.
