Victorian mathematician Ada Lovelace, the daughter of the infamous poet Lord Byron, was the first computer programmer.
"...she became fixated with the idea of mathematics as a form of poetry, and as a metaphysical art in and of itself."The Doctor, or any Time Lord with an interest in Earth history, would love to meet her, I'm sure. Perhaps they'd sneak into one of her salons? Maybe the Time Lord needs her poetical brain - that was about a century ahead of its time - to help solve a glitch in the programming of their TARDIS?
