On one hand, it's becoming increasingly hard to remember life before Alice, on the other it's hard to believe that she's four years old already.
Of course, even though (in human years), she's a young adult, she will always be our puppy. Especially as long as she retains her manic levels of puppy energy (she generally has two speed settings: Tasmanian Devil or sound asleep).
Alice's big present this year was a bag of pigs' ears - which is as disgusting as it sounds, but she loves them, one can keep her quiet and occupied for hours!
Sticking with the 'edible' theme of her gifts (she has plenty of chew toys already), we also got her some 'posh' food (ie. a wet meal, to make a change from her normal healthy nugget-based diet).
On Sunday, we visited Rachel's parents and Alice was given even more treats as an early birthday present, along with a personalised 'treat bag' (a "doggie bag", if you will) for when we go out and about.

- To avoid flooding our Facebook walls with puppy pictures - or devoting an excessive number of posts here to our fur baby - don't forget, for those who are interested in this kind of thing, Alice's exploits are chronicled, reasonably regularly, over on her own Facebook page (here)
