Palace Of The Dragon's Princess is the latest "first edition style fantasy role-playing" adventure from the gonzo genius behind the superb Monsters Of Mayhem #1
The fifth module in Mark Taormino's ongoing Maximum Mayhem Dungeons line, Palace Of The Dragon's Princess is currently being Kickstarted - and has already blazed through its initial target and is now tearing through stretch goals - to finance production costs, purchasing artwork, reward fulfilment etc
It's a classic "rescue the princess" story (which are actually not that common in games like Dungeons & Dragons, I've found), but given the trademarked Maximum Mayhem treatment.
That means an old school dungeon module "like we used to play in the 1980's with outrageous villains, monsters and wicked encounters" but also "cinematic, fun, memorable, [and] challenging to play".
|A dragon cult has taken up residence inside the ruined castle and they are ruled by a mysterious leader known as |
the "Master" and his strange assistant Torgo, a Satyr with an odd limp.
Statistics-wise the adventure is geared towards characters of level 8-12 and can be played with the OSRIC system or easily adapted to AD&D, D&D 1e to 5e, Pathfinder, D20 System, etc or any fantasy role playing system you may want to use.
As well the module itself, investor incentives for the Palace Of The Dragon's Princess Kickstarter include a boxed edition complete with dice and a dice bag.
If you're feeling flush and behind the curve on Mark's great output you could opt for a box set that also contains his four previous modules and Monsters of Mayhem #1
You can learn more about all the reward levels, the module, the box set, the campaigns stretch goals and add-ons, over on the Palace Of The Dragon's Princess Kickstarter page.
The fundraising campaign runs until June 10.
