|The Acrobatic Flea and The Ghost team-up with Amy Pond and HP Lovecraft to explore the spooky graveyard...|
With my Knight City revivial in full-swing and Villains & Vigilantes being my game of choice (as if, really, it could have been anything else), I felt it was time to revisit the day when I received a surprise parcel from the other side of the world.
As you will read, from the May 2016 article below, my Acrobatic Flea miniature was a complete surprise. And I still treat it with great reverence.
However, I've recently realised it's the same scale as Warlord Games' Doctor Who: Into The Time Vortex miniatures, so will have to - somehow - create statistics for using him in their Exterminate! skirmish system.
Now, travel with me back to the morning of Saturday, May 7, 2016:
I am gobsmacked. Totally and utterly blown away, wandering around with a "kid in a candy store" grin (on a par with the elation I felt when Spider-Man showed up in Captain America: Civil War).
Out of the blue this morning, totally without any warning, a mystery parcel arrived from Nathan Ward, of Natholeon's Empires, in New Zealand, containing... a fully-painted, Acrobatic Flea miniature!
This is something I've always wanted. My own, unique, 28mm miniature. Of my favourite superhero RPG character.
It's amazing. And so generous.
Nathan has recently been running a series of articles on his blog about his superhero miniature conversions, but I never dreamed I would be a recipient of one of his masterpieces.
