|Things Are Getting Measured And Packed In Boxes, Ready For Storage...|
Sorry there's been a paucity of original content on HeroPress this week. I can't blame the World Cup any longer, although the persistent heatwave is sapping my energy like Kryptonite.
Luckily San Diego Comic-Con has arrived to fill the blog with the latest trailers, which is always an exciting time.
Otherwise, I've been distracted my health of late: my doctor ordered a couple of blood tests after I told him about the persistent - and sometimes debilitating - pins and needles I was getting in my hands, feet, and face.
Naturally, between the tests and actually getting to see the GP, I was catastrophising my symptoms into everything from diabetes to cancer, and all points in between.
I was even mentally linking them to the problems dad had in his final years (a bout of Guillain-Barré and, eventually, leukaemia), but Rachel was ever on hand to talk me off the ledge.
And then the doctor told me on Friday that I was suffering from a Vitamin B12 deficiency, and prescribed a series of B12 injections.
While impressed by my weight loss (since he weighed me last year), he also suggested I partake in more exercise.
Luckily, this coming week, that's not going to be a problem as Rachel's got the week off and we're launching into a programme of house-cleaning, in preparation for putting HeroPress Towers on the market.
That means a week of packing stuff up to go into storage, a lot of tidying up, gardening (we have a team coming in to do the front of the house and get rid of the dead hedge) etc to make the place presentable... and sellable!
Yes, we're going to be moving (eventually).
Once our home is ready to be put on the market with an estate agent, we can seriously start looking for new houses (we've both been looking already - and a few months ago even put an offer in on a place, but gotten outbid immediately by people willing to go way over the asking price).
We'd like a bigger garden for Alice and Barney to frolic in and I, always, want more wall space for my books, comics, and DVDs. And Rachel would like space to display her dolls house collection.
But we're just taking our first steps on that long journey.
It also means you can expect another week of mainly filler posts... but hopefully something will tickle your fancy, bring a smile to your face, and encourage you to come back once normal service resumes.
