I like to think I take a great deal of pride in everything I do, especially in regards to blogging and my hobbies, but that doesn't mean I'm always proud of the end result.
Somethings things will just get away from me, I'll be beaten by technology, or I'll simply make an all-too-human error in the production process.
But yesterday, the proof draft of Welcome To Knight City, the introductory booklet to my proposed Villains & Vigilantes campaign, arrived from Lulu.
And I was as giddy as a schoolgirl. It's a long time since I've been so thrilled by something I created. I wanted to show someone straightaway, but had to wait for Rachel to come from work to share it with her.
She was suitably impressed and thought the members of the Tuesday Knights would appreciate having a printed version of this, rather than just a PDF.
Sure, it needs some minor tweaking (the layout is for a PDF, so it can't handle page numbering to my satisfaction, for instance. And I don't like having a cover on it, but I'm sure there are workarounds there).
A lot of time and effort went into this booklet, and I'm delighted that it seems to have paid off.
You can take a gander at the PDF here, if you want. Any comments would be welcome.
I'm hoping, when the time is right, the Tuesday Knights will be inspired by the contents of this short booklet - and from perusing the campaign website - to create truly memorable, and enduring, superheroes.
