The great podcasting experiment continues.
I've only gone and released a second HeroPress podcast today, a riff on my latest Doctor Who episode review (It Takes You Away) from the weekend.
This meant I was working from a prewritten article, not quite a script, to see how I got on with that.
I think in the future, I'll simply jot down some bullet points and key comments I want to hit.
It also doesn't help that this really isn't a new expression of my hobbies that I should be exploring while down with a heavy cold.
This seven minute podcast had to be broken into several segments as I kept coughing my guts up.
What makes this episode extra special is that it features a couple of voicemail messages.
Yes, people have "rung in" to the show already (Ivy, The Happy Whisk, and her hubby Tim, of Gothridge Manor), fellow Anchor podcasters and long-time supporters of HeroPress.
I'm taking a soft approach to the launch of HeroPress podcast at the moment, as I find both my feet and my voice (while trying to break 50+ years of 'hating the sound of my own voice' conditioning).
It took almost a decade for HeroPress to really cement its format in the bloggosphere, so I'm not expecting any sudden miraculous revelations with the podcast, but will be simply plodding on as I do, experimenting, tweaking, seeing what I can do, what works, what doesn't etc.
Slowly, the podcast is being accepted by other networks, outside of Anchor, and now it's available via PocketCasts and Stitcher.
Of course, the big one I'm waiting on is iTunes, but I do wonder if I have to have produced a certain number of pods before iTunes will consider adding me to their library.
My mind is racing with ideas for the podcast, but I don't want to overlook this blog in all the excitement, and things appear to be moving forward with our house sale/move/etc which - of course - will take priority over everything.
