There's been a lot of talk - and rightly so - on da Interwebz about the new, animated, introduction to Critical Role (above), the online Dungeons & Dragons streaming campaign from a host of talented voice actors.
But this reminded me of the amazing credit sequence that the great Craig Oxbrow put together for the Tuesday Knights' Heroes & Other Worlds campaign, The Chronicles of Cidri, which ran from early 2014 to late 2016.
Words cannot express how much I love this. Without a doubt it is the finest role-playing-adjacent work of art I have commissioned, because it speaks to my love of TV and cinema as well as capturing the campaign perfectly.
Whenever I get a little maudlin about my campaign prospects I just need to stick this on and it reminds me that - when I put my mind to it and can bring the Tuesday Knights in step with my vision - I can achieve gaming greatness.
Craig has form making this kind of opening montage for his own campaigns, given that most are framed as television shows.
Oh, to live in a world where every long-running roleplaying campaign can have its own - either live-action or animated - credits sequence...
