It's quickly becoming clear that, in the current state of financial uncertainty (thanks, Brexit!) and the fact that we are planning to move and therefore I will less disposable income anyway, that a tightening of my gaming budget means some serious decisions will need to made.
Fortunately, these decisions are that much easier since my discovery of Bloat Games this year... and their wonderful catalogue of innovative old school roleplaying settings (from zombies through "80's kids on bikes" to street-level superheroics) under the SURVIVE THIS!! banner.
Material from Bloat Games is sensibly priced for the cash-conscious gamer, and has great utility beyond the campaigns it was created for (as its OSR roots make it easily adaptable to other readily available systems).
Issue two was released in PDF form this week and is available from DriveThruRPG for a very reasonable $2.99 (£2.38).
This 26-page issue has a big feature on the "frozen dead" - a new threat and mini-campaign setting for their zombie RPG - as well as some random tables to spice up villain motivations in Vigilante City (and Vigilante Hack)
The 28-page issue one, penned by Jodie Brandt as was the second issue, is available for the same price, also as a PDF from DriveThruRPG.
That issue introduces a mysterious new mini-setting, Crenshaw Wood, and some new creepy critters for use in Dark Places & Demogorgons games, as well as a couple of new adventure seeds for the SURVIVE THIS!! Zombies 2nd Edition RPG - focusing on taking the fight against the undead to all new levels of moral decision making.
