The view of the gamesroom as you enter through the double doors
Forty-plus years in the making - with a practice run at our previous house - my gamesroom-cum-man-cave is complete.
Well, as complete as complete can be when I shall be constantly tinkering with things, moving things around, adding and removing things and so on until the end of time.
But, for all intents and purposes, it is done... and ready for visitors.
The shelves are stocked, as are the glass cabinets, the new lighting is in place, and there's a demonstration game of The Walking Dead: All Out War set up on the table that Rachel's dad constructed for me.
The dining table will remain as the focal point of a roleplaying endeavours, while the table here is for solo or two-person wargames.
However, the shelves of miniatures (primarily fantasy) will be accessible for whoever is running the current Tuesday Knights' RPG night shoud they wish to call upon them (as Simon did last month, when he threw some werewolves at our party of adventurers).
Meanwhile, on the wargames' table...
Rick and Carl have found an abandoned survivalists' encampment, but a zombie horde is near.
Carl has managed to get up the tower as the horde approaches, but Rick is still on the ground.
And another gang of survivors are sneaking up behind Rick.
