The Tuesday Knights resumed their Stan Lee tribute game of Marvel Super Heroes with our plucky X-Men heroes (myself as Wolverine, Pete as Storm, Kevin as Colossus, and Clare as Rogue) being joined by Kitty Pryde as Ariel aka Shadowcat (played by Erica) - with her dragon Lockheed - on the Australian leg of our world tour.
We were hunting a series of nuclear-powered Breeder Bombs which we understood Magneto had built around the globe, with the aim of releasing radiation into the atmosphere that would kill millions of people but lead to the creation of many more mutants.

By the time we got to the city, it appeared that Magneto had already defeated the terrorists, but was surrounded by the local police and army... apparently about to do something nefarious.
I came up with a battle plan that saw Storm and Colossus running decoy, distracting the Master of Magnestism, while Ariel, Rogue, and myself snuck through the sewers and came up inside the building Magneto was on top of.
We made it to the top floor, while the others fought Magneto futilely, and as Ariel phased up through the ceiling, I used my adamantium claws to cut the ceiling underneath Magneto.
This eventually led to him being caught totally by surprise, falling through the ceiling (admittedly on top of Wolverine, but, hey, regeneration powers!), then Rogue jumping on Magneto and using her power drain to render him unconscious.
Storm then grabbed the plutonium and flew it off to safety.
Given how rough I've been feeling lately, I have to say I felt Wolverine was on fire last night. He seemed great at reading the situation and throwing up a half-decent battle plan on the fly.
While she had Magneto's memories, Rogue discovered that he wasn't the one responsible for the bombs and, in fact, was following the same idea as us: neutralise the breeder bombs!
However, he didn't seem to know who was responsible.
The final bomb, we learned, was in an an ancient pyramid in the Chilean Andes, so that's where we headed.

Not only were we surprised that Magneto had beaten us there, we also spotted Mastermind, unconscious on the floor.
The Brotherhood got the jump on us, but we quickly realised they were actually robots (like the ones we had encountered in our previous session) and made short work of them (I bifurcated Scarlet Witch with a single snikt of my metal claws!).
While we were doing that Ariel put her big brain to work and defused the final bomb without the hassle I'd gone through last time.
Mastermind turned out to be the only human in the room, and we suspected that he had "Masterminded" the scheme with the robots but then, because they were such accurate Westworld-style duplicates, they had turned on him.
We had saved the world and no one knew or cared. We got no thanks from any of the countries we had saved from nuclear Armageddon. The only congratulations we got were from Professor X and our peers back at the X-Mansion. But they felt like enough.
