Bodiam Castle, near Robertsbridge in East Sussex is 14th Century moated castle, recognisable from numerous appearances as a backdrop to television documentaries on Medieval life.
It's full history can be discovered here on Wikipedia.
I took these pictures last year when Rachel and I visited. The castle was actually packed with tourists that day, but I managed to snap off plenty of pictures without hide nor hair of a 21st Century soul in them.
Unfortunately, that meant it was impossible for me to get a picture of the well-known entrance bridge without any souls on it - hence my swiping one by Mary Espi (from Google+) at the bottom to the page to round out this collection of pictures.
