Once again, a real production company has produced a great looking show that bears an annoying similarity to an old idea I've been kicking around for ages but was too timid to seriously do anything about.
It's like they looked inside my head and half-inched my half-formed story... which, of course, they didn't... or did they?
I love the idea of being able to explore other people's dreams in this way (although this is more VR than my version, which was just about getting in people's heads).
While my scribbled novel notes featured a team of trained 'dream runners' who data mined people's dreams, the Reverie approach looks like it has enormous story potential.
If anything his has taught me that sometimes my ideas aren't as dumb as I dismiss them as, and perhaps I shouldn't give up so quickly on developing them further.
And it's great to see Person Of Interest's Sarah Shahi in another techno-genre thriller.
