Ahead of this week's gaming session for the Tuesday Knights - our first in the new house - Rachel was delighted to be able to cook all the pizzas and garlic bread (our standard fare) simultaneously, for the first time.
Our new, gadget-packed, kitchen has TWO electric ovens (and a microwave and gas hob), so Rachel could cook five pizzas and two portions of garlic bread at the same time.
Chef Rachel (with obligatory glass of white wine) |
In our old house she could only cook two at a time, keeping the cooked ones under silver foil while the next ones went in.
This fancy new set-up now cuts down on the prep time she needs to factor in before each games' night.

The new lay-out for the dining area also allows more room for the various members of the Tuesday Knights to spread out, stretch their legs etc
At the moment, we're still using our old dining table, but the plan is to get a new, larger, table and chairs.
Soon, hopefully, the gamesroom/man-cave - adjacent to the dining area - will be functional as well, meaning a useful place for miniature storage and easy access to other gaming material, where appropriate.
The Future Man-Cave: currently not resembling an Amazon warehouse, but still some way from being exactly how I want it. |
Love, love, love the space. This is similar to what I want to do here with regards to no upper cupboards. I flippin' LOVE that.
ReplyDeleteWow, wow, wow, on the gaming room and the table setting and the PIZZAS!!!!!
Very, very, very cool. Hugs to you both.
It means a lot that it gets the Whisk seal of approval, thank you. It was this space in particular that sealed the deal for us when we were viewing properties.
