|Watch that first step it's a doozie!|
On the hottest day of the year, our heroic team of builders cracked on with getting the stairs in place for our loft conversion.
Cutting holes in the ceiling, removing a bedroom wall (which we weren't expecting!), and manoeuvring one flight of stairs into place.
Except for a lunchtime trip up a ladder to peek out over the skyline (turns out our view is incredible on a day like this), I stayed out of the way, in the lounge (with a fan in my face and Iron Man on TV, with frequent dramatic pauses when the sound of cutting got too loud!).
Not sure what Alice is going to make of it all.
The builders' kindly erected a little "puppy barrier", before leaving, to stop her getting too curious.
