|The Wardrobe Of T-Shirts|
This weekend was about progressing our "forever home" project forward, now that the building work and decorating is all done.
While Saturday was a day of shopping and necessary "jobs" in and around Tonbridge (such as getting my hair cut and looking for Christmas decorations in a garden centre), yesterday was all about starting the final push on moving clothes, books etc from where they've been temporarily stored (e.g. in boxes or random shelves) to more permanent locations.
Although this allowed me to free up a lot of shelf space by moving some books around, my proudest triumph was - after a lifetime - having the cupboard space to be able to hang up all my T-shirts.
It's a running gag in our family - especially with Rachel's mum - just how enormous my collection of T-shirts is.
Although now they're hung up, there don't seem to be as many as I thought.
To be honest, I am half-expecting to find, somewhere, another box or drawer rammed full of T-shirts, and obviously some are in the wash at the moment, but I'm pleased to finally have them stored how I've always wanted.
In recent months I'd got into the habit of cycling through the same dozen or so shirts, wearing them, washing them, putting them back in a drawer, then taking them out again, and wearing them again as they were at the top of the drawer.
This new storage means I'll be more inclined to pick and choose from the full range of my collection!
