The man behind the current Kickstarter to fund a full-cast audio adaptation of the legendary sword-and-sorcery epic Hawk The Slayer was interviewed this week on the comic book blog, Paint Monk's Library.
Graham Richards chatted with Paint Monk’s Library editor Wally Monk about the background to the project, the tone of the adaptation, the audio drama's musical score, the original's thematic connection to Dungeons & Dragons, sequel ambitions and the future of the franchise.
Running until December 4, the official Hawk The Slayer audio adaptation Kickstarter campaign is puttering along steadily towards its initial £3,500 goal.
At the time of writing, only 39 people have backed the campaign, even though the Hawk The Slayer fan group has over 700 members and the audio drama itself has 266 "likes" on Facebook.
However, Kicktraq (the Kickstarter analytics website) has the campaign optimistically trending in the direction of almost £6,000, if pledges continue to trickle in at the same, steady rate.
