|The bedroom has carpet|
This week has already seen a number of major steps forward in our grand "new home" project, calling on the combined expertise of Rachel's dad, Space Invaders (our loft conversion firm) and BCB Warehouse's carpet fitters.
Gregg from Space Invaders dropped in for what is, hopefully, our last "snagging" visit, tidying up odds and ends that weren't quite right.
This should mean that not only can the skip be removed (again) but also the scaffolding, as the construction element of the loft conversion is all done and dusted.
|Even the walk-in wardrobe has a nice new carpet in it now|
This morning, two fitters from BCB arrived with the new carpet for the top floor bedroom and the lounge.
They were superb, quick and efficient. My fears about the hefty units in the lounge (and the integral electrics!) came to nought as the fitters were able to work around them in situ.
The new bed for upstairs in due tomorrow, then Jason comes back to decorate the hallway, before the carpet fitters return to lay carpet throughout the stairwell.
With the carpet down in the bedroom, that finally means we can also start moving furniture, clothing etc in and making it into a usable room.
Among the many jobs Rachel's dad completed this week (he's started work on the shelving for the storage area of the garden room), he also got the second roller blind in place, on the main window of the new bedroom.
