I am attempting to show restraint about heaping praise on Watchmen until it has finished.
So far, it has been incredibly absorbing and intriguing... but then so was Lost, right up until the moment it wasn't.
As I've said several times on this blog, I'm now wary of anything that Damon Lindelof is so centrally involved with as he's fantastic on the build-up, but doesn't always stick the landing.
But it's hard with this. I find I'm biting my tongue and sitting on my hands, to stop me singing my praises from the rooftops... and all across HeroPress.
It's supposed to be a single-season, self-contained story (but then it also wasn't supposed to be a direct sequel to the original comic books...), so I only have to hold back the gushing for another month.
Or, if it ends like Lost, stay strangely quiet.
