Bram Stoker. Bela Lugosi. Two names forever bound by Dracula. And for the first time ever, Bram Stoker’s gothic masterpiece is being united with the definitive screen Dracula, Bela Lugosi, in Legendary Comics’ all new graphic novel!
In the late 19th Century, Dracula, an ancient Transylvanian vampire, moves to England to find fresh blood and spread his evil contagion. There, he encounters two women, Lucy and Mina, who become the targets of his dark obsession.
Aided by a group of brave men, Professor Van Helsing arrives on the scene to take on the Vampire Prince in the ultimate battle between the forces of light and dark!Doesn't this look fantastic? A graphic novel adaptation of Bram Stoker's game-changing novel, featuring, for the first time, the licensed image of Bela Lugosi as the titular vampire count.
This retelling of Dracula has been written by Robert Napton, with fantasy artist El Garing supplying the striking illustrations.
The book is available for pre-order now, and due to be released next week.
Look out for issue 5379, Commando: The Home Of Heroes - Commandos vs Zombies 2, in which:
"Sergeant Leo Manktelow is a haunted man - haunted by the death of his best friend, Lionel Stone, and the things he saw on his last mission in Norway. The guilt he felt at leaving his closest friend behind gnawed away at him and wouldn't die. But now Leo is going back to Norway and something he left in the past hasn't stayed dead."

St. Crispin's Day Speech
Enter the KING
WESTMORELAND. O that we now had here but one ten thousand of those men in England that do no work to-day!
KING. What's he that wishes so? My cousin Westmoreland? No, my fair cousin; if we are mark'd to die, we are enow to do our country loss; and if to live, the fewer men, the greater share of honour. God's will! I pray thee, wish not one man more.
By Jove, I am not covetous for gold, nor care I who doth feed upon my cost; it yearns me not if men my garments wear; such outward things dwell not in my desires.
But if it be a sin to covet honour, I am the most offending soul alive. No, faith, my coz, wish not a man from England. God's peace! I would not lose so great an honour as one man more methinks would share from me for the best hope I have. O, do not wish one more!
Rather proclaim it, Westmoreland, through my host, that he which hath no stomach to this fight, let him depart; his passport shall be made, and crowns for convoy put into his purse; we would not die in that man's company that fears his fellowship to die with us.
This day is call'd the feast of Crispian. He that outlives this day, and comes safe home, will stand a tip-toe when this day is nam'd, and rouse him at the name of Crispian. He that shall live this day, and see old age, will yearly on the vigil feast his neighbours, and say 'To-morrow is Saint Crispian.' Then will he strip his sleeve and show his scars, and say 'These wounds I had on Crispin's day.'
Old men forget; yet all shall be forgot, but he'll remember, with advantages, what feats he did that day. Then shall our names, familiar in his mouth as household words - Harry the King, Bedford and Exeter, Warwick and Talbot, Salisbury and Gloucester - be in their flowing cups freshly rememb'red.
This story shall the good man teach his son; and Crispin Crispian shall ne'er go by, from this day to the ending of the world, but we in it shall be remembered - we few, we happy few, we band of brothers; for he to-day that sheds his blood with me shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile, this day shall gentle his condition; and gentlemen in England now-a-bed shall think themselves accurs'd they were not here, and hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks that fought with us upon Saint Crispin's day.

After the brutal events of Red Sonja: Birth of the She-Devil, Sonja is looking to cut loose and drown out all the atrocities she has witnessed with ale.
She travels to Aquilonia to attend the Festival of Fire with her new friend Elli. Though Sonja’s escape is destined to be shortlived, as local forces have a starkly different interpretation of the festival’s patron god, Mitra.
They come in to drench the festival in blood and Sonja finds herself invariably resisting them, and along the way spending time behind bars.
Will the She-Devil With a Sword overcome this bloodshed and can she save the lives of those around her?Dynamite's next Red Sonja mini-series, The Price of Blood, by Luke Liberman and artist Walter Geovani, continues the exploration of Sonja's early years and is due to arrive in stores in December.
Although released with several variant covers, I'm not sure why anyone would choose any other than Arthur Suydam's exotic painting of Sonja (shown above), reminiscent of both Frank Frazetta and Victorian paintings of the Middle East.
While Marvel has been tight-lipped about news of its upcoming Alien books, it is celebrating its acquisition of the franchise with a splash of variant covers on its titles in January.
Here's a selection to whet your appetite.
Remember these are all just "art pieces" and no indication of whether the infamous xenomorphs are going to be shoehorned into the wider Marvel Comics Universe (as Conan the Barbarian has been) or left to their own devices in their own pocket universe.
Given that Marvel is simply licencing Conan, his being woven so heavily into the fabric of the Marvel Universe has been a big surprise to me
However, the Alien, Predator, and AvP franchises are now owned wholly by Disney (which, in turn, owns Marvel), so I would have thought highly likely that we will see some crossover with superheroes in the future.
The xenomorphs, for instance, could easily replace The Brood (Marvel's old xenomorph rip-offs).
