|The plants arrived today and - all being well - should be planted tomorrow|
Storm Christoph and the rain it brought with it pretty much put the kibosh on any work being done on our garden today.
Nevertheless, the transformation has still been progressing magnificently, with the path being set down along with the foundations of the seating area.
Given the weather conditions, the work has been very impressive, especially on Monday when stonework for the forking path was put in place and we could finally get a concrete idea of what our garden would look like (instead of simply cooing over plans and sketches).
That day also saw a visit from the electrician, who laid the wires under the path and added a fuse box to the garden room, so that eventually we'd be able to have lighting over the seating area - which Rachel would be able to control from her phone.
Although no work could be done on site today, we did take delivery of the wood for the decking and the various plants Rachel and the designer agreed upon.
These are due to be planted tomorrow.
