Police Major Igor Grom is known throughout St. Petersburg for his disruptive character and irreconcilable position in relation to criminals of all stripes.
Incredible strength, analytical mind and incorruptibility - all this makes Major Thunder the ideal police officer who knows no obstacles.

It looks rather Batman-esque, but also very European in the sense that story is about trying to capture a costumed character, rather than the having the vigilante as the protagonist.

In its homeland, the Major Thunder comic, from Russia's largest comic book publisher, Bubble, is a top-selling title that has been running for eight years and claims a circulation of a million readers.
Its cinematic journey began in February 2017 with a release of a short, proof of concept, film which, in the space of a month, attracted 20 million views, demonstrating that there was an audience for a live-action adaptation of this character.
Damn, this looks good. I have to see this film. Thanks for the background research you have already done so I have a place to start.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy the odd dive into uncharted waters, so digging up Major Grom's "backstory" was a rewarding bit of fun.
