As the Tuesday Knights crawl out of their unplanned winter hibernation and look to resume 'in-person' gaming later this month, we have been greeted by a spiffy new logo for our group (see above), designed by our Antipodean member, Meredith.
If we can get all our proverbial ducks in a row, and align the satellites correctly, Meredith will hopefully be 'beaming in' from New Zealand, via Zoom, for Pete's 1950's Atomic Horror GURPS campaign.
She will be stepping into the role of cat burglar Onyx Jones, originally played by Erica.
|The role of Onyx is to be recast|
It'll be nice to have her run by a single, dedicated, player again, so the rest of us can focus on our own characters.
Pete called me up the other day to broadly talk over his ideas for the campaign in 2022 (without giving away any spoilers) and it sounds as though our faux period sci-fi TV show, The Theoretical Science Foundation, will soon see some interesting developments.
Emerging from the gloom of winter, I am once again optimistic about the future of the Tuesday Knights.
As well as Pete's ongoing campaign, I have a couple (maybe three) ideas percolating about games I'd consider running and I know Simon is always juggling about half-a-dozen ideas at once and would probably welcome a chance to sit behind the Dungeonmaster's Screen again.
I was so jazzed by our last actual session (back in September), our first 'in-person' for almost 18 months, that the prospect of more gaming at our table almost makes up for the fact that we will be reverting to only one session a month.
Clearly, that's a factor I need to consider when coming up with my own ideas of what to run for The Tuesday Knights.
