Our spritely, little, forever-pup Alice turns eight today. Rachel and I gifted her a box of Dograze meaty treats, which she's had previously and really enjoyed.
After I'd sliced the tape holding the lid down, and before I could say anything, Alice was on the box and actually figuring out a way to open it, then discard the foil covering inside, and start tucking in.
I was trying to film this adorable moment, but - because of the glare of the sun - couldn't really see what I was doing, and had accidentally hit slo-mo... when Rachel suddenly cried out: "Nooooo".
Alice's first choice had turned out to be the wax candle in the selection, for her birthday cake.
Rachel managed to get the candle away from the pupster and I deleted the film. We didn't need yet another "cute animal film" that ended with people screaming "nooooo!" as chaos ensued.
The weather's lovely today, so I expect there will be a lot of lounging around to celebrate her big day, which suits us all just fine.

Many happy returns!
ReplyDeleteThank you. She had a lovely day and the treats are being rationed out, so they last.
