Before Sam and Dean, there was John and Mary.I'm liking the look of The Winchesters, the first Supernatura; spin-off to actually get legs. It's a kind of monstertastic spin on How I Met Your Mother, but with a lot more violence, magic, and slaughter.
Told from the perspective of narrator Dean Winchester, this is the epic, untold love story of how John met Mary, and how they put it all on the line to not only save their love, but the entire world.
I got rather burned out with Supernatural in the last couple of years of its epic run, but it appears as though The Winchesters is going back to its roots (can we hope for a return of the monster-of-the-week format?), so I hope the show finds a decent home on this side of The Pond as it's certainly piqued my interest.
