Honestly, if I knew the answer to that I'd be working for Wizards of The Coast, Free League, Cubicle 7, or Modiphius.
I wish I knew how to get more people playing RPGs. If nothing else it would mean a larger pool of players, opening up the possibility of scheduling Tuesday Knights' sessions more than once a month.
Of the Tuesday Knights' actual recruiting efforts: Erica was a friend of Rachel's from work who foolishly mentioned she liked gaming and had played RPGs in the past, so when Meredith moved to New Zealand I asked Erica if she'd be interested in stepping in.
Simon I originally met at a local launch event for 4e Dungeons & Dragons and we've stayed friends since then.
Kevin's an old friend of Nick and was best man at Nick and Clare's wedding. Clare and I shared a house when I lived in Tunbridge Wells (and she met her husband-to-be, Nick, at my wedding to Rachel).
Pete and Nick I've known since school and our newest member, Mark, was an old friend of ours who recently said he was looking to get back into gaming as part of his retirement celebrations.
All this time I've largely been drawing from a small pool of close friends, which makes for a nice relaxed atmosphere, but we're now getting to the point that should anyone else have to leave the group, for whatever reason, we probably won't be able to replace them.
Basically, I guess I need to make some more friends... and then convince them to play Dungeons & Dragons (or some reasonable facsimile).
It's that or wait a few years for friends' children to get old enough to discover the joy of tabletop gaming and then be willing to join a group of old fogeys...
