The Acrobatic Flea of Earth-AA (art by MIdjourney) |
Another day, another iteration of The Acrobatic Flea - my signature superhero character - has been unleashed on the multiverse by one of my amazing gaming friends.
The Other Side's Timothy S Brannan, already responsible for the noirish Flea of Earth-NS, has now crafted an alternative Flea operating under the Amazing Adventures rules engine.
More a two-fisted, pulp brawler than Timothy's previous, more cerebral, spin on the character, the Amazing Adventures Acrobatic Flea harkens back to my original Villains & Vigilantes character from the early '80s with his mutant origin.
Like yesterday's New Punverse take on The Acrobatic Flea, this latest version of the character comes with an intriguing taste of the adventures he has already been caught up in.
Timothy writes:
In his short time he has teamed up with other heroes such as the demon hunter known as The Paladin and the mysterious Witch Queen to fight spider mutants and defeat the evil Refrigerator. But the strangest encounter of all was meeting his own counterpart from another, darker Earth! If you click through to The Other Side (and why wouldn't you?) this paragraph is awash with links to further articles about elements of Timothy's interwoven gaming worlds.
I am so happy you like this. I try to approach other people's characters with a sense of respect to that character (and player) so I try very hard to get it "right."
ReplyDeleteWith the Flea I feel now there are enough multiples out there that playing around with some of the tropes can be fun new experience. So the Prime Flea is likely a combination of the Fleas of Earth-AA and Earth-NS.
No doubt given our share love of multiversal stories there is a Flea out there that has teamed up with any number of my various witches!
Going forward, if this gains traction, I'd be interested to see more variants of the Flea that aren't "straight-forward" superheroes; perhaps some more "fantasy" or "sci-fi" iterations, a Solomon Kane-style Flea, a gladiator Flea etc Something my limited imagination would never have thought of...
